Brief info
(E-RYT200/ RYT500) I find joy in sharing my love of yoga with others. I believe in the practice and its power to heal and nurture. By linking movement with breath and resting in stillness, space is created for inner healing and a greater sense of ease and balance in one's body and mind.
I started practicing yoga over 20 years ago . I had injured my back and was looking for ways to heal my body. Yoga was one of many therapies I explored, and it gave me a tangible system by which I could feel stronger in my body and more calm in my mind. The occasional yoga class here or there started turning into a class every day that eventually led to a 200hr RYT teacher training at Centered Yoga, Thailand in 2004. Since then, in addition to ongoing self-study I have taken trainings in Pre and Postnatal yoga, Yin yoga, Restorative yoga and Meditation and Yoga Psychology.
My intention is to make Yoga accessible to anyone who wants to try it, using clear language and offering modifications and alternatives for practicing safely with any 'body'. I encourage individuals to listen to what their body is telling them and to move mindfully, without force, and to embrace and honor their unique yoga journey.
